Located on the long beach of Tamarin on the west coast of the island, you will find the Between2waters accommodation, which not only lies on the ocean but also the river of Tamarin, which runs alongside the other side of the estate and its large garden. Enjoy walks along the beach and impressive sunset views and mountain panoramas, with your accommodation lying amidst it all. Thanks to the excellent location in the small fishing village of Tamarin, you can enjoy one of the most popular areas of the island in peace and quiet, and look forward to a pleasant adventure of a holiday. The estate consists of two fully-equipped apartments where you can easily self-cater. The environment and being eco-friendly is one of the owners’ core values, and the estate is home to its own water purification system that removes the salt from water, and electricity is generated by the solar panels on the estate. The grounds are well-maintained, and located just a short distance from the river and the bay of Tamarin. If you want to stay out of the water then you can borrow some of the accommodation’s kayaks. You also have fairly good chances of seeing dolphins in the bay, as they swim by regularly. Another extra is that you can use a rental car provided by the owners for free during your stay, allowing you to explore the rest of the island with ease.

The west coast of Mauritius has numerous highlights to offer. Besides white, sandy beaches, you can also find picturesque landscapes and various sporting possibilities here. Tamarin is located in the Black River region, around 25 km from the capital city of Port Louis. Here, in the bay of Tamarin, you can see the ocean’s more stormy side, as the beach is not protected from the open ocean by coral reef. However, these larger waves are ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and beginners can also learn the basics in one of the many surfing schools here. Dolphins also call the bay their home and swim by regularly. Those who prefer to be on dry land, there are numerous naturally beautiful sights to discover by rental car, such as the Black River Gorges National Park, the seven-coloured earth, and Chamarel with its quaint rum distillery.
