Surroundings:
La Gaulette is a peaceful coastal town where there are all kinds of shops, restaurants, a bank, and sports on offer. To put it another way, everything that you might need as a holidaymaker or amateur watersports enthusiast. The estate’s proximity to the stunning beach and surfing paradise of Le Morne, around 10 minutes’ drive away, and to one of the most beautiful spots on the island is another plus point for your stay. A hike up the table mountain of Le Morne Brabant, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2008, is rather steep towards the top, but it offers unforgettable experiences with views of the lagoon and coral reef. If you want to climb it, you need to book a tour guide, as it is private property. The seven-coloured earth of Chamarel is a geological wonder as well as a tourist magnet. The town itself, located 283 metres above sea level, offers a stunning view of the tropical forest and waterfall from its lookout point. Finally, the rum distillery in Chamarel should also be on the agenda, with a delicious coconut rum on the menu!
