Description:
The small private beach of the Jalsa Beach Hotel and Spa on the Indian Ocean will be one of the highlights of your booking! Check-in at this family-run estate, where three-storey houses with peaked roofs await alongside a pool and palm garden, as well as 66 comfortably-arranged rooms for two or three guests. You also have the choice of garden view or pool view, of terrace or balcony. And if you want it a little easier, you can also book full board or all-inclusive instead of half board, as this area is a little lacking in shops and restaurants. The Jalsa Hotel also offers various services to make it a real all-rounder. The Hartopp Restaurant has a large interior and garden terrace where you can enjoy international cuisine, while the Rum Point Bar, which almost seems to be floating on the pool, is ideal for a cocktail evening, music, and other dinner events. The small fitness room allows you to burn calories, while the Repose Spa offers a sauna, Turkish bath, and massage therapies to relax mind, body and soul. Meanwhile, the Myami Kids Garden is ideal for young guests from 3 - 12 years of age. If that’s not enough, then the reception will gladly help you to book activities on land and in the water, as well as shopping excursions by taxi.
Specials:
- Enjoy the pool and private beach as a guest of the hotel.
- Discover the ocean without any travelling required; the small boat house has pedal boats, kayaks, and snorkelling equipment that you can use.
- Make use of the Turkish bath, sauna, and massage treatments at the Repose Spa.
- Whether you book half board, full board, or all inclusive, enjoy the restaurant, grill, and pool bar.
Surroundings:
The north east and east of Mauritius is a little less touristy than on the more popular west coast. Here, you will get an insight into just how much sugar cane and fishing have shaped the island’s history. We recommend a rental car, as this will allow you to discover your surroundings, including Post Lafayette and the Bras d’Eau National Park, in a sort of natural tour of the area. Excursions will surely take you to the Poudre d’Or where you will see sugar cane works, or to the fishing village of Trou d’Eay Douce at the edge of the Bambous Mountains. Just a few kilometres further, you can find the Ile aux Cerfs with its coral sand beaches, which is one of the most popular island paradises around. Boats set sail from the harbour over to here, where you can disembark and continue on foot to find a stunning spot to spend some time. Another insider’s tip; indulge yourself in Belle Mare with a breathtaking underwater sea-walk experience, with a guide from the Aquaventure Team.
