Surroundings:
The town of Bel Ombre, whose name translates to “beautiful shade”, is located around 10 minutes away on-foot from the hotel. This used to be the home of plantation owner and British philanthropist and nature researcher Charles Telfair. During your stay, enjoy some games of gold or visit the Frédérica Nature Reserve for a safari in the Domaine de Bel Ombre. This nature park is home to various animals that you can see, including pheasants, parakeets, deer, and mongooses. You should also pay a visit to Chamarel, with its 100 m waterfall, rum factory, and breathtaking seven-coloured earth. The volcanic rock formations also light up in different colourful tones and make for an excellent photo in the mornings or evenings. The stunning view of Baie du Cap with its hairpin curve, while Le Morne Brabant is nearby, ideal for the sporty amongst you. The difficult climb up to the 556 m peak is well worth it thanks to the stunning panorama from the top.
