Description:
The neat and tidy Ambre resort has the sunshine at its heart. This resort, set up with peace, relaxation, and wellness in mind, shimmers like its namesake amber from top to bottom along this 750 metre beach, Belle Mare, which you will surely visit during your stay. The white main building with a shop and medical treatment centre is the central point of the hotel, and welcomes you into the inviting tropical resort and behind to the blue of the ocean. The panoramic view over the pools, palms, and lagoon will also help you feel right at home. Ambre is the perfect spot to indulge yourself, but also to enjoy various activities such as watersports, golf, yoga, aqua-aerobics, glass-bottom boats, or cocktails at the bar. With the all-inclusive booking package, you will be able to enjoy various new creations each and every day at one of the three theme restaurants and two bars. Leave enough time to try various things from the menus and cocktail menus at the indigo buffet, in the trattoria, or in the beach restaurant La Plage, where you can eat with the sand (almost) between your toes. Ambre also has fire in its blood at the nightclub Shakers, where you can dance away in the tropical night until 1:45 each morning. The spa area with sauna and jacuzzi or the massage pavilion with a view of the sea will ensure that you can recover the next day before taking a break on one of the floating loungers in the pool, on a bean bag on the white sandy beach, or in the fitness centre or tennis courts. You might even see that, by the end of your stay, your skin takes on some of the amber shades from the resort...
Specials:
- Indulge yourself in the airy massage pavilion right on the beach.
- Sail through the turquoise waves on a catamaran or work on your handicap at the Bernhard Langer-designed golf course.
- All-inclusive with three restaurants, Indigo, Dolce Vita, and La Plage – enjoy Italian food, typical Indian Creole cuisine, or a simple beach barbeque.
Surroundings:
Anyone looking to spend their holiday in the east of Mauritius can look forward to an ever-present cooling sea breeze, making it the ideal conditions to discover the surroundings. From the forest mountains of the 600 metre Bambous range, to Trou d'Eau Douce in the south, past sugar cane fields and up to the Ile aux Cerfs. This small island is dominated by a golf course, but remains one of the most beautiful spots in the Indian Ocean, with crystal-clear water, a blue lagoon, and white coral sandy beaches. The island also entices visitors with its swimming conditions and colourful souvenir stands. Taxi boats bring you over to the island, allowing you to discover the underwater world of Mauritius along the way. You should also be sure to take an excursion to the Grand River South East waterfalls, which is just a short drive from the eponymous town that used to belong to the Netherlands in the 17th century. The largest river on the island falls in cascades here from volcanic rocks to depths of up to 10 metres. With a bit of luck, you might even spot some fruit bats or majestic tropical birds.
