Description:
From above, the luxury resort surrounding two pools with huge lawns and grass surfaces reminds you of a golf course, which is little wonder when you consider the Heritage golf course, located nearby, and designed by Peter Matkovich. This hotel is best described in one word: party. The turquoise lagoon, cherry-coloured roofs, and tropical olive tones of the surrounding mountains combine to create the atmosphere of the resort. Between palm trees and under coconut leaves, you will find relaxing corners with sun-loungers on the beach, by the pool, or on the green stretches of the resort, allowing you to experience paradise. The vintage phone booths allow you to call home for free, while the LUX* Me Spa in the middle of the garden provides relaxation for your body with its sauna, Vichy shower, and turkish bath. But that's not all, especially once the sun goes down! This is a real party location, and, being one of the few nightclubs in the south, the party atmosphere is everywhere, with some of the best beats and sega musicians on the island. The restaurants and bars, including a street food burger truck and an ice-cream truck, offer cocktails and culinary shows, while the beach invites you to enjoy time under the stars. Dive into one of the four swimming pools or go paddling, sailing, or surfing on the shimmering ocean waves. The modern fitness club and yoga studio are also worth a visit. Whatever you choose, there is always something going on, and that applies to the Kids Club and Studio 17 as well.
Specials:
- Waterfall tours, cycling tours, and quad-bike trips are all on offer here, taking you through the natural surroundings to wake up your thirst for adventure!
- Rum, coconuts, and rhythms. Tamassa impresses with live cooking shows, high-quality sega bands, nightclub beats, and much more.
- Kids Club, Studio 17, and a lot of ice cream: this is a great choice for families.
Surroundings:
Around the luxurious Bel Ombre, which used to be one huge sugar cane plantation, Mauritius is presented in its most impressive way. Besides beautiful beaches, spectacular nature hikes and photo opportunities await! Book an adventurous quad-bike safari through the green mountains and waterfalls of the Frédéruca Nature Reserve, or visit Chamarel, which is around 300 metres above sea level, ensuring a fantastic view of the tropical forests from its viewing platform, as well as the most beautiful double waterfall in the world, Chamarel Waterfalls, which fall around 100 metres below. Visit the seven-coloured earth of Chamarel too, which is particularly impressive at dawn or dusk, with the ground offering shades of red, blueish green, and ochre for you. The hike up to the top of the so-called table mountain of Mauritius, Le Morne Brabant, is also worth the sweaty climb, at least for the underwater waterfall that you can see in the ocean there. Finally, those looking for even more motivation can enjoy a taste of rum in the Chamarel Rum Distillery.
