Description:
A refreshing welcome cocktail will be waiting for you upon arrival at the Villa Vague. This estate is a small, charming option for guests who prefer a unique option to huge all-inclusive accommodations. Bright, two-storey cottages, many of which joined via wooden verandas, surround the communal pool and the small garden bar amidst tropical plants and trees. Here, contact with other holidaymakers will likely come about by itself. Six air-conditioned, brightly-coloured rooms with wooden and bamboo elements have everything you might need, whether that’s a sofa bed for children or an integrated kitchenette (a must, when you are on holiday with a baby). The Dodo supermarket right around the corner offers all you might need, including things that you can then prepare on your barbeque, which you can use at any time. An absolute highlight is the proximity to the incredible Albion 2 beach, and the crystal-clear water of the Indian Ocean. Besides a varied selection of excursions that you can book on-site, including boat trips, kayaking, and cycling, the lodge will gladly arrange massage treatments for you. Other services offered by the hotel staff include daily cleaning services, a souvenir shop, and a washing salon. And, for those who book half board, the restaurant serves up delicious Creole cuisine in the evenings.
Specials:
- Have a massage booked for you by the lodge.
- Attractive excursions are available, on land and on the water, allowing you to see the most beautiful sides of the island.
- Round off your evening with rum cocktails, served at the bar.
Surroundings:
In the small, sleepy town of Albion, which is home to many calm Mauritian locals, lets you relax right next to the ocean or try out one of your favourite watersports, including windsurfing, diving, snorkelling, and canoeing. The ocean contains a coral reef here, meaning that the waves are soft and the water is crystal-clear. Romantics will perhaps want to walk up to the lighthouse on the northern edge of the town, on the coast, and listen to the sounds of the rolling waves. Or, go for a walk on the long sandy beach of Flic en Flac until you reach Wolmar, and watch the sunset along the way. If you have a rental car, then Port Louis (to the north) or the Black River region (to the south) offer attractive excursion options. The exotic nature park Casela World of Adventures lets you go on safari and discover colourful birds, giant tortoises, and larger big game animals between the Rempart and Tamarin rivers. Souvenir hunters will find themselves right at home in the Cascavelle Shopping Village with its huge supermarket and designer shops, or in the impressive Caudan Waterfront in the capital, where the blue Mauritius stamp can also be found.
